Let the gentle breeze of grace blow

Summer is here to stay…

watermelon under a shade,

a sweet breeze across the face..

all one needs in the heat of day.

Our weary souls are pretty much the same,

made to endure, made for love, made for play..

they could surely use a kind of breeze

a fountain of joy, a transfusion of peace.

Who could actually bestow these?

Only the grace of God. His love always wins.

So, let the gentle breeze of grace blow!

Let God’s healing presence stir my soul,

as I ponder over this thought:

Jesus took my place on the cross

and paid the price for my sin, He bore my shame.

It was my pride, too that drove the nails

in His holy hands and feet, it were my mistakes.

Death and punishment was all that I deserved,

yet I got forgiveness and eternal life instead.

Free from judgement I can now forgive

all those who have hurt me, including me…

and I’ m already dancing to the tune of His heart.

His grace is sufficient and I am free at last

to love unconditionally as I have been loved,

to spread a new message to those near and far..

and I so long to take part in a glorious feast

in that special place God has prepared for me!

The time is near when Heaven’s thunderous glory will show,

so, here on earth, let the gentle breeze of grace blow!
